"CocoMobile": bring the factory to the farmThis is a featured page

This website contains some basic information about our new Philippines Livelihood project: The "Coco-Mobile"
, a new method of processing coconuts, a process that brings the work and the machines to the farm. Please have a look at this movie on Youtube The GreenExpeller

So it:
  • Reduces the overall transportation cost significantly (>60%)
  • Creates work in the areas where work is needed
  • Gives the coconut farmers a better price for their coconuts and almost without transportation investments.
  • Stimulates the farming of a well-known product, that can be farmed almost anywhere in the Philippines, and does not need specific training.
  • The end product(s) can be used directly and/or sold locally
  • etc.

Our mobile coconut processing facility processes the coconuts from the fresh stage to finished products within a few days of harvesting, and we do that practically “on the farmer's doorstep.” This is how we obtain a superior oil and food-quality coconut flour or fiber. The coconut shells can be used for process heat and engine fuel (using gassifiers), with charcoal as a by-product, a sustainable process, that insulates growers and processors from the vagaries of petroleum prices. We also will produce Vinegar from the coconut "juice".

Latest NEWS.: A group of 24 Dutch University (of Applied science) students will start February 2010 a project around our Cocomobile idea (process). These International Business Management students are 3rd year students form the University of Aplied Science in Deventer (Netherlands) and they will write (create) a Business-plan for our company within 4 months (all 24 students work 3 days a week and every 2 weeks the best plan will be pushed through).
